If you are thinking to come to Australia then first you decide about your future plan. The country and education system is very good. The Australian people is very helping in nature. I am here since 6 month but I don't feel any racial problem over here. It is safe and you will get good international exposure here. Along with this all positive points you always keep certain thing in your mind. The standared of living is high when you are living in city like Sydney. You will not find job easily over here. You have to work hard to get job if you don't have any prior job experience. If you are comming for PR perspective then it is tough to get PR if you don't have any sponsorer over here. When you are looking for study perspective then studing in Australian institute is very different then India. You will enjoy studing over here. It is not tough. Initially you will find some difficulty but all professor and students helps you a lot.
Australia is good for new students but you have to get ready to accept challanges.

Adelaide and Melbourn both are nice city. Adelaide is small compare to Melbourn. So standared of living and job prospect are changed. In Australia every city welcome new students. Before deciding the place of study you should also look for university and climate of that particular city. I am staying in Sydney so I can guide you much better for Sydney.
You are worried about job experience. Before comming to Australia you read one blog 5 tips for part time job in Australia on this webside it is very good. You also read selection criteria on Australian job webside like www.seek.com and www.mycareer.com.au. When you go through selection criteria in your field then you get better idea of Austrlian job market. In Australia employer mainly look for skill. If you have that work skill which they are looking for then your chances of getting job is much bright. Along with work skill good communication skill in English is also very important. Here 80% jobs are hiden jobs so good network will always helps you a lot.
I hope this will helps you.
