US or Australia

I have just completed my graduation and was planning to go to US for my MS giving GRE.

Some of my friends who are in Australia told me that this is comparatively a better place to live as it is economical and surely its difficult to get to US and earn there part time, which I guess I would have to do to support my pocket.

Well I have been looking on Facebook for this but was not convinced by people opinion but as this site is intended for this purpose as well, I would like to know if I should opt for US or Australia and I even have Germany in mind as I am planning for a specific course but Europe is too expensive to live.

Hope to have some reply so that it makes it easier for me decide.
