A legislative instrument IMMI 10/026 was introduced on 17.06.2010 to be effective from 01.07.2010. Visa Capping Bill 2010 and its impact
Visa Capping bill is introduced in Parliament on 26.05.2010. It will give additional powers to MIAC to cap and terminate applications for certain class or subclasses of visa based on certain characteristics. It is currently being debated in the Parliament and there is no doubut that MIAC can use the powers to cap and terminate existing visa applications of certain occupations such as cooks, hairdressers etc. However the information from DIAC website suggests that the Bill is not currently…See More
