Connect . Explore . Learn | Studying and Working Indians in Australia
Every single senior of mine said the same thing before I entered the last and final year of college.
"Try hard as possible not to let go the days away."
Shrugging this off as a joke, I maintained my mentality of wanting to get out as soon as possible. I liked college, but I was so excited at the idea of a big girl salary, heels and corporate World.
After graduation and settling into a job, I have come to this hard realization that I can't just do what I want, now I have rent and what feels like a bazillion other things that I have to pay for and I first and foremost need stability.
While in college, every semester, I chased my parents with a reason “TO STUDY ABROAD”, and they found a reason to convince me not to go. Usually they muttered something about issues like, money matters or safety or the very popular “racism issue in Australia”. Every time the discussion ended on, “it isn't easy (or cheap) to just pick up and move Abroad”.
Is it really the case there? Is it actually a big issue to start up as an Indian Student in Australia?
I wanna state, I don't wanna end up later life just regretting, “I didn't study abroad.”
Give your words fellas. I really want it die hard!
