Australia is probably one of the few countries in the world which has such a huge difference between the quality of private and public providers. The recent events within the international education industry has demonstrated the damage done by unscrupulous and low quality private providers on our entire education system. These events have drastically undermined the reputation of Australian education in our key student markets.
Countries such as the US has always had the private providers (e.g. Harvard and Yale) outclass the public institutions. Why can't we have the same in Australia? When will we have quality private providers who look beyond short-term profits and build skilled and enlightened global citizens?

Private university like Bond at Gold Coast are good example. I am aware of. Who is world class, highly recognised and still private.
